Vendor comments: Empress is a unique offering at this year's sale. She is a very gentle young cow that has unique and excellent bloodlines, not to mention colour! She is sire by HBL Tombstone's whose sire is Tempter, an excellent USA bull from the Dickinson herd. Tombstone has played an important part in the build up of the excellent D7 Spur Texas Longhorns herd.
Her dam Miss Bee is an excellent big-horned cow and with the Dash For Cash genetics offers valuable outcross blood. Empress is currently in calf for the second year in a row to HBL Yellowstone, our outstanding three year old bull who already has horns that exceed 80 inches. Yellowstone's dam has horns that now exceed 90 inches and his grandmother Milly (who appears on both sides of this pedigree) has horns that are almost 100 inches.

Vendor Comments: Flee is one we have great difficulty letting go of, she is AI by Fugative, a big beefy black and white bull, and out of a Drag Iron Daughter. Fugative puts body into his progeny and flee is no exception. She is an easy keeper and easy to handle. She has a lovely tidy udder and is a great doer even in dry conditions. All her calves have been black and white with the exception of one which was red and white, a twin, his brother was the usual black and white. We have retained her last cracking heifer calf.
